Sydney was a top athlete throughout her high school career.  She played on just about every team her school had to offer including volleyball, field hockey, and track and field.   At the end of her senior year in high school she was recognized as the “Top Female Athlete” in her grade.

Sydney began training mixed martial arts 5 years ago at the age of 14 after doing a self-defence course in gym class.  She wanted to learn how to defend herself, and in turn fell in love with the sport.  Sydney began training in kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for two years reaching her orange belt.  It was at this time she had her first amateur Mixed Martial Arts fight and won!  After switching gyms to a local kickboxing gym in her hometown, she met Josh Hill and found her real passion in martial arts, Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Motivating Sydney on her martial arts journey is UFC legend “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey for her dominant Judo skills, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk for her dominant Muay Thai Kickboxing.  Currently Sydney is coaching and training at Vision Quest MMA & Fitness and has been there since its inception in early 2016.  Over the course of the last two years she has continued to improve her skills and techniques to become a well-rounded fighter.  Sydney plans to continue to compete in Muay Thai kickboxing and also continue to motivate her students to push themselves to the limit!
